HONEY
Nectar of the gods
Honey is a natural food with a very high nutritional value. In ancient times it was believed that the gods of Olympus fed on honey (Nectar of the Gods). However, beyond its excellent taste, honey has terrifying beneficial properties for the human body as it strengthens the immune system, while helping the circulatory, digestive and respiratory systems to function properly!
There are different types of honey that are determined by the season and the variety of plants or trees from which the bees absorbed the nectar or honeydew.
In the Apollo area, the honey we collect is divided into three categories:
“ANTHOMELO” – FLOWER HONEY
The flower honey is collected during the first harvest, in the months of May-June. It has a light yellow color, a wonderful taste and a special, intense aroma with fanatical supporters.
THYME HONEY
Excellent quality honey with a light amber color and amazing taste. It is mainly collected in the months of July-August. It belongs to the category of flower honeys but is separated due to its particularly strong taste and aroma characteristics.
HEATHER HONEY
Autumn heather honey is collected during the last harvest of the year, in the months of September-October. It has a reddish color and is very tasty.
POLLEN
The ancient superfood
Pollen is the male reproductive cells of plants and is a key food source for bees due to the wealth of nutrients it contains.
The use of pollen has been widespread since ancient times all over the world and it is the most complete nutritional supplement that nature offers us!
Pollen has anti-aging, antimicrobial and antioxidant effects while it is being used against seasonal allergies and to stimulate athletes.
ROYAL JELLY
Live like kings
Perhaps the top product of beekeeping. Royal jelly is a white substance with a creamy texture, which is produced by bees as food for the future queen. It is considered the elixir of youth while it has anti-cancer properties. Recommended for growing children, the elderly, diabetics and people with cardiovascular disease.
NATURAL WAX
For any skin disease
Natural beeswax or beeswax is a miraculous product of the bee. Its uses in medicine and cosmetology are endless, as it has soothing, anti-irritant, antimicrobial, healing, emollient, moisturizing and antifungal properties!
